(Re)starting my FPV drone journey

When I was watching the news yesterday, I saw an item about an FPV drone race here in Belgium. I felt the spark again, and started looking at YouTube video’s about building drones. Then I started searching for DIY drone kit’s online. But I realized I had 1 problem… I have a LOT of hobby’s, and sometimes I buy gear too impulsive.
I decided to set some goals for myself. If I hit the goal, I get rewarded, and I can buy a piece of gear. If I don’t hit the goal, it’s clear that I’m not interested enough to sustain the hobby, and therefore should not spend €500 on a quick ‘side quest hobby’.
The gear won’t be super professional for now, but give a good starting point to practice flying IRL. If I want start building my own drone, I will set a 3rd goal.
